In Albert Einstein’s First Visit to the United States in1921, he said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of minds to think.”
He presented that the value of a school or college education is to train the mind to think; something that cannot be learned from textbooks. It is to create the capacity of integrated understanding and an ability to use the knowledge intelligently.
We as Agilist, knowingly or not, operate within this perspective. We find ourselve looking back to our foundational tranings and ideals, mapping this knowledge to our current environment, (our integrated understanding) and then apply that knowledge "intelligently".
This discussion will take a unique approach centered around our mindset, common thinkingpatterns within our organizations, and the realization that assumptions about people, their environment, & their abilities “shape the systems we put in place.”
